2008 Huia Riesling, Marlborough. Intense wine although the flavours build gradually toward a lingering finish. Mineral, lime and a suggestion of floral flavours. Weighty riesling with subtle acidity that gives structure without inflicting any pain.
Huia Riesling 2008 Claire and Mike Allan at Huia deliver plenty of Riesling chutzpah on the nose of this wine: lifted limey florals and a dash of white pepper. A crisp, clean and well-ordered style. Medium-dry.
New Zealand's cool climate wineries continue to produce outstanding wines, including this bone-dry white from Huia Vineyards. Its wonderfully complex, flinty aroma entices to a dry minerality with a citrusy edge and adequate acidity. All in all, it's an attractive wine at a great price for before and during a meal that includes shellfish, cream sauces, poultry and soft cheeses.
Huia Marlborough Riesling 2004 Off-dry style with a little botrytis. Tastes lovely and ripe, showing a very good Riesling fruit statement; a wine which works well as anytime glass of wine and as a partner to fish and early courses. Ready, no hurry as a great 2006 lies ahead too. Terrific!
2004 Huia Riesling This is a bone dry Riesling, but it is not remotely hard or searing and appears to be drinking well already. With a classic nose and beguiling texture, this is my favourite Huia Riesling to date.
Huia Riesling 2003 Team comment: A crisp light bodied wine with a good balance of fresh lemon and lime flavours, bright acidity and a touch of sweetness.
2004 Huia Riesling, Marlborough A dramatic new style of wine for New Zealand, which typically makes Riesling a bit sweet. This wine has a heady aroma of apple/pear and spice with hints of white pepper and minerals. The entry is barely off-dry, and the taste succulent though the finish is dry. A superb wine. Try with Asian food.
This juicy beauty from New Zealand shows great intensity and charms you with its ripe lime and lemon honey aromas. The palate is rich with citrus and honeysuckle and the texture is silky smooth.
"Very fine Riesling, in an near-dry, medium bodied style. It is fragrant, long and well balanced on the palate, and tastes of peach, with floral overtones. 0.7%RS. 790 cases(2004-2005)."
2003 Huia Riesling, Marlborough Floral/lime aroma with hints of spice and a bit of white pepper. Dry wine for pairing with light dishes or sipping alone.

Huia 2002 Riesling, Marlborough Coming in just at my self-imposed $15 limit is this beauty of a Riesling. The aromas are a refined blend of peaches, pears and citrus fruits, but they don't adequately prepare the taster for the bold, striking flavors that follow. Despite being relatively light-bodied, tropical fruits, stone fruits and citrus cascade across the palate, finishing a touch soft. If more structure becomes apparent as its baby fat recedes, this wine's rating may prove conservative.
Huia Riesling 2001 Another Huia Classical maturing style, a little tight and ungiving on release but with air-time we get a sight of what is coming with bottle age. Lovely fruit to show best 2003-04.
Huia 2001 Riesling, Marlborough Round and ripe in style, this medium-bodied Riesling is delicate in flavor and long on the finish, tasting of peach, lime, and honeysuckle. (2002-2003)
