| At our first attempt, we won! All 3 of our wines entered in the prestigious SFIWC were awarded medals. We are feeling pretty happy about that! | |
| Huia Sauvignon Blanc 2010 won a Double Gold. "This wine shows a good aromatic intensity with bright herbaceous and floral notes, gooseberry, and lime. It is layered with flavours ranging from guava, melon, gooseberry and lime zest. This uplifting Sauvignon shows an excellent length and depth on the palate." A double gold is the highest award of the SFIWC. | |
| Huia Gewurztraminer 2008 won a Silver medal. "The nose has fragrant rose petals and candied fruit. The palate is full with generous lychee and Turkish delight character with a long succulent finish. A very rich dry style of Gewurztraminer showing complex layers of flavours." | |
| Huia Pinot Gris 2009 won a Bronze medal. "The nose reveals intense floral, ripe pear, red apple characters, white peach and rich exotic spices. Lovely soft texture with layers of white fruit, nuts and spices. This wine shows an excellent palate length and structure." |
